The acquisition comes as part of ATH's strategy to participate in the emerging liberalization of the media market in the Arab World by delivering a world-class level of professionalism and expertise into this nascent sector. Advanced Radio Broadcast Company will be utilizing these two licenses to cater to the vitality of the youth market in the Arab world by introducing a new media brand and programming formats that are both relevant and revolutionary.
This investment comes as part of ATH's strategy of developing, within the Middle East and North Africa, of a portfolio of radio properties that enhance the quality of local, national, and regional content. In executing its strategy, ATH has teamed up with Communicorp Group Ltd, the fastest growing radio broadcasting network in Europe. Communicorp Group Ltd. is a media company founded in 1989, headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, that has 36 stations broadcasting in 7 stations across Europe.
