GREAT FALLS, VA December 10, 2009: Cubecorp announced today that it has launched SmartCube LLC, a joint venture company in partnership with Accelerator Communications Company (ACC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Accelerator Technology Holdings (ATH). SmartCube will initially focus on designing, building and marketing modular, affordable and transportable datacenters. It will also offer a full portfolio of datacenter managed services to clients around the globe and will serve as a regional outsourcing and disaster recovery solution provider.

Having only recently become a new model for datacenter business in more developed markets such as in the United States, where scalability and flexibility in data handling and management are critical, less developed markets can be prime benefactors of the mobility provided by such datacenters, which come packed in 20 and 40 foot containers, similar to those used in shipping goods across the globe. “Such a model is of particular applicability in less developed countries, where businesses are fairly small in size and can’t afford large deployments. This way, they can capitalize on rapid expansion and deployment using the freedom the model provides in adding incremental capacity virtually anywhere and redeploying it virtually everywhere to meet changing business needs, but starting from an affordable platform” Zu’bi added. “Through the solid partnership we have forged with CubeCorp, we are allowing for technology and management transfer from a leading global firm which is considered among the top data center developers and operators in the world”.
